The name Sage Lodge doesn’t suggest anything extraordinary. But In this case, a name can be deceiving. The Sage Lodge, Montana’s newest resort is a very cool place. The owners of the Sage Lodge chose wisely when deciding on where to build their new resort. The Sage Lodge is located in the Paradise Valley, about mid-way between Livingston, Montana and the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. When driving, go about 25 miles south of Livingston on U.S. 89 and land at the resort’s front door. In Montana scenic values are everything. The Sage Lodge is situated on the banks of the Yellowstone River, the world’s premier and best untamed wild river. The resort is flanked to the east and west by the majestic Absaroka and Gallatin Mountains, rising more than 10,000 feet. The resort is an ideal place to explore the great Montana outdoors. Think fly-fishing, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, and more. Guests can choose to stay in guest rooms or cabins, all decorated in a very nice way to appeal to the senses of those who love nature. The Sage Lodge features a full-service spa. For dining, meals are cooked over an open wood fire in The Grill (opening September 9). The Fireside Room offers another dining option. It’s apparent that owners of the Sage Lodge wanted guests to enjoy the lodge’s surroundings even while indoors. This feat is accomplished by floor-to-ceiling windows in the Fireside Room, cabins, and guest rooms. Travelers who seek to be pampered and want to experience luxurious lodging and amenities, all in a beautiful setting, will want to stay at the Sage Lodge. This area of Montana is served by Bozeman Yellowstone Airport, a few miles west of Livingston, on IH 90.
