Montana State Parks

Montana has 55 state parks, scattered over the entire state.  The state parks may be overlooked by many visitors.  Why is hard to say.  But these gems can make your trip to Montana more enjoyable.  Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (FWP) lists all the parks on its Web site.   The FWP site does a nice job in describing the parks.  Very helpful, the FWP Web page has a sort function allowing visitors to easily find specific activities allowed in each park.  So many activities, so amazing, ranging from archaeology, culture, beaches, canoeing, boating, mountain biking, picnicking, fishing, and hiking to name just a few.  It's risky to name any favorite but the Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park near Three Forks and not far from Bozeman and Helena, is unusual for what it does and as such very popular. Take a look at all the state parks.
