Visit Helena, Montana for lots of family fun

So much to see and do in Helena, Montana, if you are planning a trip there.  A few things should be at the top of your list, with or without children in tow.  In the outdoors, head for the Gates of the Mountains for a guided trip through a majestic canyon traveling by boat on the Missouri River.  See spectacular nature and majestic mountains framing the canyon.  You may see a few mountains goats clinging to cliffs bordering the river.  A stroll down Last Chance Gulch is a must, too.  Lots of interesting buildings and shops, some catering to tourists found here.  Then go to the Parrot Confectionery on Last Chance Gulch, buy ice cream, taste favorite chocolate, or eat a snack in a sort of 50s like surroundings.  Immediately to the west of downtown is Mt. Helena City Park.  In the park, take a hike up the mountain and enjoy spectacular mountain views to the west and all of Helena Valley below.   The top attraction for culture is the Montana Historical Society Museum near the state capitol.  Learn about the history of Montana.  Even if you are not a history buff, this place is a must stop.  Doing all of this is a two-day affair.  Enjoy Helena, Montana.
