For a mid-sized city, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has more than its share of hotels. Most of the hotels, however, are standard chain operations. A room but not much more.

No. 3: Residence Inn by Marriot. This hotel opened in 2022. it ranks highly because it is in a quiet suburban area of Tuscaloosa, northeast of downtown and The University of Alabama.
